What Items are Prohibited for Me to Move?
Every country has different laws regarding what items they allow to be imported within their borders, so it is impossible to give a complete list of items you should not pack. The best thing to do is to contact the embassy or customs agency in the land you are traveling to, to find out what restrictions they may have on imported goods. Furthermore, if you hire an experienced international moving company, like Allied International, they will also be able to tell you things you might not be able to ship. There are some universal items though that are prohibited basically everywhere. This includes hazardous or flammable materials, firearms, drugs, pornography, counterfeit items, and explosives. Basically, if you are hesitant to bring an item through airport security, you might not be able to import it in to a new country.
